SHIPRA SARAOGI

Yogi | Dancer | Instructor

Shipra was born and raised between North India and New York. She started dancing and doing yoga at eight, finding ease in expression.  With a varied Movement background in Bharatnatyam, Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary, Chhau and Kallaripattayu and Mongolian Contortion, she now has found her niche in perfomance arts with a Somatic approach in her body and movement practice. She holds a Masters in Special education and an MS in Creative arts therapy with a specialisation in Dance therapy.


The work she has done in the field  of disability and education has influenced her life’s path and vision of the world. She has a certification in Laban Movement analysis, 500+ hours of Yoga TT, is an auricular acupuncturist and is an ABA teacher. 


Anatomy art over the ages and across cultures  has influenced her current artistic path. Having worked for Alex and Allyson Grey at Chapel of Sacred Mirrors studying art and teaching Yoga there, built her experience. Her performance and teaching work encapsulates Somatics and expressive art/dance therapy with an amalgamation of neuroaesthetics, yoga, and healing arts.
